Tis a sad day for all of us here in PESS. This is mainly due to the fact that our PESS FOC 2009 is cancelled! Yes its true, sad to say. Due to the recent H1N1 precautionary measures that NIE and MOE has taken, all orientation camps and programmes have been cancelled. This does not only affect our PESS FOC only but other planned camps as well from the BSC Club as well as the TTC.
Thus, for those of our incoming trainees from the PGDE who have already signed up and paid for the camp, we will be refunding your $50 fee for the camp once the new semester begins. However, the $50 for the goodie bags will still be collected in order to equip the new trainees in PESS for their term in NIE.
Anyway do not fret,because here at PESS, we never say never. The committee and myself will be coming up with a simple day orientation programme for the incoming batch of PESS students soon and will keep you updated via this website. So stay tuned for more information on the orientation programme that we will plan for all of you, juniors and seniors as well.
Well, for those having practicum, good luck for the next 2 weeks, whilst those still on holiday, enjoy it while it lasts. See ya soon.
